Macomber expressed that, “I am honored to have been selected as Home-Based Business Champion of the Year. As Microenterprise Consultant for MaineStream Finance, Macomber provides microenterprise training and technical assistance in Penobscot, Piscataquis, Knox and Waldo Counties, coordinates an annual Rural Maine Small Business Conference for rural entrepreneurs, and organizes an annual MarketPlace to showcase products and services of area microenterprises. He also owns his own web design business, MainesBest.com, and is heavily involved in regional activities, most recently joining the Piscataquis County Economic Development Council Board of Directors in December 2007.
